About Me

I graduated from California State Univeristy, Chico in 2010 with a BA in Communication Science & Disorders and a minor in Child Development. Then, I worked as a Speech- Language Pathology Assistant in the Waterford Unified School District for 2 years, while receiving my Mild-Moderate Education Specialist Credential. I did my student teaching in Dublin Unified School District in a 2nd and 3rd grade SDC setting and a 4th and 5th grade SDC setting. I started teaching Special Day Class at Pine Valley Middle School in August of 2015. I previously taught as a resource specialist at the elementary school level. I enjoy working at Pine Valley Middle School. The teachers are amazing and supportive of all students with disabilities. Pine Valley is a great school filled with laughter, joy, and happiness. I love teaching SDC! Chico_CA_-_California_State_University_Chico.jpg

When I am not teaching...

If I am not teaching, you are most liking to find me cuddling with my dog, going to the gym, or baking cookies. My favorite thing to do is work out at the gym. I enjoy going to the gym, putting on some good music, and zoning out for a few hours. I have found a new passion for spin class. I really like spin class and the fast pace movement that is involved with riding.

My husband and I have a puppy named Presley, yes, after Elvis Presley. I am a huge Elvis Presley fan. Our puppy is half shitzu and poodle, he is only 8 pounds. He brings so much laughter to our house. He is a great dog!

I also love baking cookies, cakes, and deserts. However, I always try to find a way to revamp any desert to make it healthy. I have become really good at hiding vegetables and fruits into my sweets.
